Hi there, my name is Lucky and my mom gave me this page to tell you about myself and show you some pictures. First I want to tell you about my name and why my mom picked it for me.
One day when I was about three months old, just a few days before Thanksgiving, I took an unplanned trip under the hood of a car. When the car stopped and I thought it was safe to get out, it started moving again. I was so scared I think I was shaking. When it stopped for the second time, I could hear strange voices and lots of loud noises. All of a sudden the hood of the car opened, but before I could meow it slammed shut again. When it opened again, some strange man looked at me carefully, like I scared him. (I learned later that he thought I was a wild animal. Imagine anyone thinking a sweet thing like me could be a wild animal!) I saw my chance to get out and I ran as fast as my little feet could go.
I was free at last but now there were two big men chasing me around the big room, trying to catch me. Well, since I'm here now, telling my story, I think you can guess that they finally caught me. One of them was married to a nice lady animal doctor and he took me to her. She took real good care of me and made sure I had all of my shots so I would stay healthy.
A few days later, the man who found me under the hood of the car came to pick me up and take me home to his wife. My new mom named me Lucky because she thought I was lucky to be alive after riding under the hood of the car without a scratch.
I've been here since 1991 and am very happy with my family, which includes my mom, my dad, and my big sister, Kelly.
I used to have a very best friend named Fluffy. She was a real nice dog and she used to play with me. We would chase each other around the house, kind of like playing tag. One day I knew something was wrong with her because she couldn't get up to play. She wouldn't eat or drink either. I could tell mom, dad, and Kelly were worried about her because they checked on her all the time and hardly left her alone. I felt sad because I couldn't help her feel better. I finally walked slowly up to her bed and we touched noses one last time. I knew she was gone to Heaven when my mom held her and cried for a long time. I missed her so much that I used to look all over the house for her and when I couldn't find her, I went down in the basement and cried for her.
My family keep telling me that when Fluffy and I touched noses the last time, they swear Fluffy gave part of herself to me so we didn't miss her as much. I'm told that I now do things that Fluffy always did but I didn't. Things like begging at the table, laying on my back with my feet in the air waiting for my tummy to be rubbed, and a lot of other things too. One day they took me to see the lady doctor because I had a really bad drooling problem and they thought I was sick. She ran a bunch of tests on me and said I was really healthy. Then, since cats don't drool like that, she asked my mom and dad if I thought I was part dog. Actually, Fluffy was a cool dog and if I inherited part of her, I don't mind.
I could go on and tell you more, but I think I tired myself out. I have to go and take one of my zillion a day cat naps. I just want to say that I'm very happy with my family and I love them a lot. Thanks for reading about me and please enjoy looking at my pictures. My mom says I'm a big ham when it comes to pictures because I'm always willing to pose.

This shoestring is my favorite toy.

Here I am doing physical therapy exercises with my mom after her shoulder surgery last spring.

Now I'm getting ready for cat nap one.

This is my favorite picture. Don't I look handsome?

This is what I look like when I wake up from a cat nap.

Here I am thinking about attacking my toy.

If I look guilty it's because I am. I really wanted to get one of those plastic candy canes off the bottom of the tree, but my mom caught me.
